Elder Titan combines strong control, area damage, and abilities that weaken enemy defenses. Hero Characteristics

What to Build Against Elder Titan

  • Black King Bar protects against many control effects if activated before Echo Stomp hits.
  • Eul’s Scepter of Divinity helps you wait out some of Earth Splitter’s damage by lifting yourself into the air, or interrupt the ability’s cast if it can be targeted.
  • Assault Cuirass provides armor that helps against physical attacks and is not affected by the hero’s base armor.
  • Force Staff helps you get out of Earth Splitter’s area or push an ally away from Elder Titan.
  • Pipe of Insight reduces magic damage for its owner and nearby teammates.
  • Lotus Orb helps dispel some negative effects and reflects targeted abilities.

How to Play Against Elder Titan at Different Stages

Laning

Watch Astral Spirit’s movement, and don’t stand near an ally if Elder Titan can hit you both with Echo Stomp. Don’t underestimate his damage after the spirit has passed through several units. Keep the lane in sight and don’t let him approach the creeps freely.

Midgame

Don’t group up tightly before a fight: Earth Splitter and Echo Stomp are especially dangerous against multiple targets. Save abilities to dispel the sleep and get out of the dangerous area. If Elder Titan has used his key abilities, use the downtime while they recharge to counterattack.

Late Game

In the late game, Earth Splitter can deal heavy damage to heroes with high health pools. Distribute defensive items in advance and don’t group up in a narrow passage. Keep track of Astral Spirit’s position and retreat if Elder Titan is ready to execute his combo.
