Bloodseeker is an active carry who moves quickly around the map and pursues wounded enemies. His Rupture punishes the target for moving, while Blood Rite forces opponents to leave a dangerous area. In this article, we’ll look at which heroes help against Bloodseeker in each position, what to build, and how to play against him at different stages of the game.

Hero Characteristics

Thirst increases Bloodseeker’s movement speed when his opponents are low on health and helps him find wounded heroes. Blood Rite deals area damage and silences, while Rupture is dangerous for those who try to run a long distance using normal movement.

Bloodseeker is strong when his team deals damage to several enemies at once and leaves targets with low health. He struggles more against heroes with saves, dispels, and mobility. Keep Rupture in mind: moving while affected by it deals damage, so first look for a way to wait it out.

Best Heroes Against Bloodseeker

Bloodseeker most often plays position 1 — carry, though he is sometimes picked in position 2 — mid. He joins fights quickly and finishes off wounded opponents, so heroes who can withstand his onslaught are useful.

Carry

  • Medusa can withstand sustained pressure thanks to Mana Shield and stop a chase with Stone Gaze. She needs to keep an eye on her mana and avoid being left without support.
  • Wraith King can survive being focused thanks to Reincarnation and continue fighting after his first death. His stun helps the team stop Bloodseeker.

Mid

  • Storm Spirit can move to a safe distance with Ball Lightning if he has enough mana. This ability helps him escape Rupture.
  • Ember Spirit can leave a Fire Remnant in advance and return to it to change position. This helps him survive a chase, as long as he doesn’t carelessly spend all his charges while affected by Rupture.

Offlaner

  • Underlord makes it harder for Bloodseeker to reach the team with Pit of Malice and slows. Fiend’s Gate helps allies quickly reposition if a fight is going badly.
  • Centaur Warrunner speeds up the team and helps it retreat with Stampede. Hoof Stomp gives the team a chance to stop Bloodseeker when he jumps into a fight.

Support

  • Oracle can save an ally with False Promise. It’s important to use this protection before the target takes too much damage.
  • Shadow Demon temporarily removes an ally from the fight with Disruption to wait out a dangerous moment. His abilities also help buy time for the team to retreat.

Hard Support

  • Abaddon helps withstand focus with Aphotic Shield and Mist Coil.
  • Dazzle supports allies with healing and saves a target from death with Shallow Grave. He gives the team time to wait for Rupture to end.

What to Build Against Bloodseeker

  • Eul’s Scepter of Divinity helps you wait out Rupture by lifting yourself or an ally into the air.
  • Manta Style removes many negative effects from its owner.
  • Lotus Orb helps remove some effects from an ally and reflects targeted abilities.
  • Glimmer Cape helps save an ally from being focused and reduces the magic damage they take.
  • Force Staff grants additional mobility, but use it while affected by Rupture only if you’re prepared to take damage from moving.
  • Ghost Scepter protects a support from Bloodseeker’s physical attacks while the team helps them retreat.

How to Play Against Bloodseeker at Different Stages

Laning

Don’t give Bloodseeker easy last hits: keep an eye on your health and consumables in lane. You can avoid Blood Rite by leaving the marked area in time. If Bloodseeker casts Rupture, don’t immediately run across the map — first assess whether you can dispel the effect or wait it out.

Mid Game

Stick together when moving around the map and save protection for the hero Bloodseeker uses Rupture on. Try not to start a fight with low health: Thirst will help him quickly catch up to wounded heroes. Once his ultimate has been used, the team can move more freely and counterattack.

Late Game

In the late game, assign saves and dispels among your allies in advance. Don’t use mobility automatically while Rupture is active: dashes and teleports can deal damage depending on the ability’s mechanics and game updates. Wait out the effect first, then retreat or reposition.
